COPS are searching for a 20-year-old man who allegedly confessed over the weekend that he had murdered his 15-year-old girlfriend. The suspect from Dinokana Village in Zeerust, North West got drunk on Saturday and apparently told his brother he strangled Lerato Molefe on Friday and dumped her body in the bush. The shocking incident came just days after maths teacher Gadimang Mokolobate was stabbed to death at the local high school on Thursday, allegedly by a 17-year-old pupil. Lerato’s uncle, Jan Pule, told Daily Sun his niece was reported missing on Friday. This was after her cousins and siblings told Jan Lerato hadn’t come back home. The next day residents called Jan and took him to the spot where Lerato’s body had been dumped. “They told me because I’ve been looking after these kids since their parents died. “But we didn’t live in the same house.” Jan said he and his family didn’t know how they would bury Lerato because they were unemployed. He said they desperately needed help to bury the teenager. Police spokesman Captain Sam Tselanyane said after the suspect allegedly told his brother what he had done, the brother alerted the police. He said police were looking for the suspect.
