Police Minister, Bheki Cele, and a high level police delegation are today expected to visit Bonteheuwel following widespread protests yesterday. The Total Shutdown Movement blocked roads in various areas to protest against unemployment, crime and poverty. Police had to fire stun grenades and used a water canon to disperse angry crowds across the city who disrupted traffic. Police are still monitoring the situation in various places. No further incidents have been reported overnight and this morning. Cele and Western Cape Police Commissioner Khombinkosi Jula will be meet the leaders of various communities to discuss their concerns.

  1. Hahahaha!!! So what is that poepol going to do. Some sangoma magic???? Some more filmsy ANC promises, like Fikile Mbalula??? According to crimestats the ANC are killing 57 innocent men, women and children daily because they refuse to deploy the Army on the Flats. Nothing else can stop the violence, but the ANC don’t care, they love it when Coloureds murder each other.
