Oct 28, 2019Port Elizabeth – Two alleged ATM card scammers are expected in court soon after they were arrested by Port Elizabeth Flying Squad members.”On Thursday, at about 19:00, a member of PE Flying Squad was reporting off duty when information relating to an alleged card scamming in progress at an ATM in Algoa Park, Port Elizabeth, came in,” said police spokesperson, Brigadier Tembinkosi Kinana.”The member immediately responded and spotted the suspects fleeing in a white VW Polo TSI.”With the assistance of SAPS Kwadwesi members, the vehicle was forced to stop. “Two suspects, both aged 38-year-old were arrested.”Brig Kinana said that cash and two cell phones were confiscated.”The suspects’ clothing was also found in the boot of the car,” he added.”It is alleged that the suspects scammed two people at the ATM. “They were detained on charges of Fraud and possession of suspected stolen property.”They are expected to appear in court soon.”Follow more RNEWS articles, subscribe to our YouTube channel and for breaking news LIKE us on Facebook.
