President Cyril Ramaphosa and International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director, Christine Lagarde, have discussed the current economic challenges around the world. The two met in Pretoria earlier today. Lagarde is also expected to meet with Reserve Bank Governor, Lesetja Kganyago after which they will hold a joint media briefing in Pretoria. In November, the IMF commended South Africa for its economic reforms. The financial institution said strengthening the finances of state-owned entities and reducing the cost of doing business were key to the economic stability of South Africa.
