President Cyril Ramaphosa has called on the country to be patient with the electricity blackouts, saying one of the pylons in Mozambique that supply Eskom with electricity, is about to go back online. Power lines from the Cahora Basa dam that supply Eskom with electricity have been damaged by cyclone Idai. Ramaphosa says he was this morning briefed by Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordan that the fixed pylon will be able to produce 900 megawatts per hour. Ramaphosa is on the campaign trail in Cape Town ahead of the National elections in May. He told the cheering crowd at an ANC rally in Mfuleni that electricity blackouts will soon be a thing of the past. He urged residents to go and vote for the ANC on the 8th of May.

  1. Oh please!! Does he think we passed matric with 30%? Mozambique’s supply only 1GW to SA! Thats not enough to make a dent!!

  2. I expected more from Cyril, sadly his credibility is waning along with his backbone and inability to unite this country. Unlike Mandela who was prepared to stand up and do what is right at all cost, he had already resorted to the race card to save his skin.

  3. die hond praat kak hy ry die corruption train butternut kop het selfde number gesing voor stemdag anc sing uit die selfde gesangbook preaching to the uneducated again
