President of the newly formed African Renaissance Unity, Bryce Mthimkhulu is promising to double pension grant to just over R3000 for the elderly if elected as president of the country. Mthimkhulu has promised a further R800 grant for groceries, which will be topped up with a further R200 as funeral cover. His party, the ARU signed an alliance agreement with two other smaller parties in Cape Town today. Mthimkhulu says under his presidency, national parliament will report to the monarchy in the form of kings and chiefs: “We will establish a new house which will be called a monarch house that will be a united kingdom house, that will represent all our people in grassroots level, because our kings, our chiefs, our indunas they understand the needs of our people, and the parliament will be parallel to that monarch house, the traditional leadership will take decisions.”
