Management of Phoenix Villagers Athletic Club (PVAC) has been inundated with congratulatory messages for hosting the well-organised SAMA Challenge on Sunday.
It took months of preparation, dedication and hard work which saw the entire SAMA event unfold and reach fruition.
The team is humbled by the accolades showered upon them and at the same time are overwhelmed by the phenomenal support received on race day.
The organisation would like to salute the South African Medical Association for embarking on this initiative where doctors united for the betterment of the nation and are using sports as a medium to encourage and promote a healthy lifestyle and at the same time creating social cohesion.

PVAC share in this vision hence their dedication and commitment to make every stride they take count and are extremely grateful to SAMA for affording them the opportunity to host this event and are optimistic that this race will grow in leaps and bounds.
The morning was filled with lots of fun and laughter along the route, every hydration station was sufficiently stocked with liquids and the top three athletes were handsomely rewarded with cash prizes in the 21km and 10km categories.
Team PVAC are thankful to all clubs that participated, their well-wishers, helpers and the South Africa Medical Association and all personnel who provided their free services.
