Quick response by a Cape Town policeman has led to the arrest of three alleged thieves in Parow Valley. Police spokesperson FC van Wyk says the policeman was responding to a panic alarm in Hofmeester Street when he noticed the men loading a flat screen television into a vehicle. They sped off when they noticed him. He pursued the vehicle and called for backup. Van Wyk says the suspects abandoned their vehicle in Ravensmead and fled on foot. They were arrested shortly aftewards. Police discovered four flat screen televisions and housebreaking implements in their vehicle. The three men, from Delft, Kewtown and Khayelitsha respectively, are expected to appear in the Bellville Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
