SANPARKS officials say they will not stop searching until they find the the missing…

SANPARKS officials say they will not stop searching until they find the the missing Karoo lion which is believed to be somewhere around the town of Sutherland in the Northern Cape. The last confirmed spoor of the lion was found 42 kilometres north-east of the town. On Friday, a specialised team from Bidvest Protea Coin joined the search. The specialised team has been using infrared technology to track the lion at night. SANPARKS is also following reports that four sheep and two goats have been killed on a farm around Sutherland. Spokesperson Reynold Thakhuli has urged people not to approach the lion, but instead call authorities when they see it. The lion escaped by digging its way out underneath a fence after heavy rain in the Karoo National Park three weeks ago.
