Verulam Primary School’s peer marshals invited team members from Verulam SAPS, NICRO and the Zamasizwe Crisis Centre to speak to pupils on child and sexual abuse, recently.
Cnst Mabizela of the Verulam police station educated pupils on how to report assault and sexual abuse.

Members from NICRO, under the guidance of Nonkululeko, spoke about the effects of bullying, children’s rights and responsibilities, nutrition and crime awareness.
Members from Zamasizwe Crisis Centre highlighted peer pressure and relationships.
Verulam Primary School pupils as well as the peer marshals, appreciated the wealth of knowledge shared.
