A Caneside family was left traumatised after six armed men robbed their home, last week.

He pressed the panic button but by then, the gate had been broken and the suspects had entered his house already.
The man was hit on his head with a firearm. The suspects instructed the victim not to look at them. They then demanded that he open the safe.
His family started to scream and the suspects ran upstairs and searched his room. They broke his bedroom burglar guard as they exited on the neighbour’s roof.
Cpt Louise Naidoo, communications officer of Phoenix SAPS, said, “The suspects took four cellphones and jewellery, valued at R400, 000.”

This follows an incident on Saturday in which the complainant alleged that she was at work as a domestic worker at Edgeview Road, Mount Edgecombe. She was busy checking her phone when three unknown men entered the house.
