Sixty-one year old bookkeeper, Jacqueline Struwig has been sentenced in the Specialised Commercial Crimes Court in Bellville to ten years direct imprisonment for fraud and money laundering. The grandmother of four was sentenced yesterday after entering into a plea and sentencing agreement with the State. Struwig was a bookkeeper at Rennish Girls High School and Stellenbosch High School between September 2007 and September 2014. During her employment at both schools, but at different times, she channeled funds into her bank account and those of her husband, her daughter and an unknown bank account. As a result of her fraudulent activities, Rennish Girls High lost more than a million rand and Stellenbosch High lost more than 63-thousand rand. Struwig and her husband had a previous conviction of fraud of more than a 100-thousand rand for which she was convicted in January 2011.

  1. Why they employed granny,without background check from 2011? Was because of the colour of her skin? Africans are subjected to the criterio over and over again.
