The SKISA Avonford Karate Club held its first grading for the year at Greenbury Hall, which turned out to a resounding success.
The students trained diligently, stayed focused and listened to Sensei Sarsha at every training session.
It was all smiles that evening as the karatekas had their names called one at a time to receive their certificates from Hanshi Sonny Pillay, who oversaw their grading.

It was a proud moment indeed for the parents of the dedicated young karatekas.
Sensei Sarsha competed at the league one tournament in Bloemfontein over the weekend.
She was placed third in the senior kumite division.
