Victims of house robberies were left traumatised after they awoke to find armed robbers inside their homes, last week.
In the first incident, the complainant alleged that last Thursday, he was in his home when he heard his dogs barking.
He got up from his bed and went to the room where he noticed six men. Three of the suspects had firearms and two suspects had knives.

Cpt Louise Naidoo, communications officer of Phoenix SAPS, said, “The complainant and his family were taken to the bedroom and the suspects demanded cash, jewellery and the safe. When the complainant replied that he did not have a safe, the suspects punched the complainant and his father-in-law. The suspects then stole all the car keys from the house, Samsung TV, cellphones, clothes, laptop and left in the complainant’s white Mercedes C180. The suspects gained entry through the bathroom window, which was forced open.”
This comes after an incident on Wednesday in which the complainant alleged that at about 4:30am, she woke up after hearing some noise while at her residence at Mount Moriah.
She noticed that the door had been forced open and the lights were switched on.
