South Africa’s top cat, a Burmese feline, has been crowned at the 29th Annual…

South Africa’s top cat, a Burmese feline, has been crowned at the 29th Annual South African Cat Council Cat of the Year Contest in Cape Town. ‘Supreme Premier Pear l – It’s A Done Deal’ received the coveted title during a gala dinner last night. The cream Burmese out clawed 30 other competitors to snatch the top prize after being judged by 10 international experts. Last year, he just missed out coming in as runner-up in the competition. His owner, Rita Wiseman from Port Elizabeth says he has an outstanding personality: “Amazing personality, they’re very much in your face, they demand attention from people, to be on your lap or they need to be sitting next to you or they talking to you or they calling you when you walk into the house. They never leave you alone, they’re are very busy cats.”
