The organisers treated children to a fun-filled and memorable day.
An annual Easter party was proudly hosted by the Rotaract Club of Verulam at the Sinakekele Children’s Home in Oakford, Verulam, on Saturday.
The club entertained 120 children from around the community of Oakford.
The Sinekekele Children’s Home recreation centre allowed the little ones to spend their Saturday mornings at the library or on the playground.
The children were treated to jumping castles and an Easter egg hunt on the grounds of the orphanage.

They were also spoiled with snacks throughout the day. In addition, they received party packs to take home.
“Easter is a time to celebrate and rejoice and what better way to spend it with the children of our community? Children are the future of our generation and we need to uplift them in every way that we can,” said president, Bhavistra Ramlagan.
The gratitude and smiles that they received from the children during the project will stay with organisers forever.
“The club would like to thank all sponsors for this project. Without our sponsors, we are nothing, but with our sponsors, we can do great things. It is only with your help and continuous support that we are able to carry out projects such as these,” Ramlagan concluded.
