The Sunflower Fund will be revisiting an era of definitive splendour at Durban’s landmark Southern Sun Elangeni Hotel at their 13th annual black and white charity ball taking place on Friday, May 24 from 6:30pm.
Renowned fashion designers, Karen Monk-Klijnstra, Sibu Msimang, Bianca Warren and Kathrin Kidger together with hair and make-up prodigies, Terry Scott and Nola Honiball of Hello Honi, are lending their support to this year’s event.
The designers will each be creating two signature items, which will be awarded to significant individuals at the event and they will also be showcasing their iconic black and white pieces on the night.
Scott and Honiball will be responsible for glamming up the stage front-runners.
This distinguished fundraising event aims to raise funds for the Sunflower Fund whose message of ‘making a difference’ will be highlighted throughout the event.
With a 19-year history, the Sunflower Fund prides itself in being the premier organisation in Southern Africa to create awareness about the need for blood stem cell donors as well as recruit and maintain a registry of donors committed to helping anyone in need of a life-saving transplant thus giving greater hope of life to patients affected by blood diseases such as leukaemia.
