The first sitting of the National Assembly is provisionally set down for the 22nd…

The first sitting of the National Assembly is provisionally set down for the 22nd of this month and the following day for a sitting of the National Council of Provinces. According to Parliament’s spokesperson, Moloto Mothapo, the office of the Chief Justice, is yet to officially confirm these dates. In accordance with the Constitution, new members of Parliament should be sworn in two weeks after the Independent Electoral Commission has declared the results of the national and provincial elections. The Chief Justice presides over key elements of these sittings, such as the election of the Speaker of the National Assembly as well as the President of the Republic.

  1. Can we now showing this institution the respect it deserves, by behaving appropriately and setting an example to our younger generation . PLEASE , use this as an opportunity to be done with the past, to work tirelessly to improve the lives of ALL South Africans, to show consideration, respect , restraint and compassion for others. Above all, implement discipline , and punish those who choose not to play the game . TO ALL politicians: PLEASE WORK !!!!! That means getting up early and putting your back into a full working day , and learn to be honest , especially when you are most tempted to lie or steal – DONT !! It’s no longer about you, but about the younger generation. PLEASE just ” GET IT”

  2. I worry ,EFF vs BLF…#hoLoLoo
I just wish they would be responsible adults & know that they are there for the people..Not for chaos.
