The N2 at Sir Lowry’s Pass Village, near Gordons Bay has been closed to traffic due to protest action. City of Cape Town Traffic spokesperson, Maxine Bezuidenhout, says protesters are obstructing the highway in both directions with burning tyres. The traffic is being diverted towards Gordons Bay. In the Cape Peninsula, Prince George Drive has also been closed between Hyde and Dick Burton roads, at Parkwood. Tyres have been set alight on the roadway. Motorists are advised to make use of alternative routes.
