The National Department of Tourism in Conjunction with SANParks has unveiled a 14 million rand monument at the southernmost tip of Africa. The monument – a 20 meter map of Africa – is housed inside the Aghulas national park in the Overberg district of the Western Cape. The national heritage site is the point where the Indian and Atlantic oceans meet. The park and its surrounding area has a rich cultural heritage, where fauna, flora and marine species are abundant. The area attracts thousands of visitors each year. The monument was introduced to try and increase its visitor numbers.

  2. Who comes up with these prices, R14mil for that. Waist of money, should’ve spent it on anti poaching unit along that coast instead

  3. Ek stem. Was daar publieke insae?
