The National Sea Rescue Institute has warned of increased shark activity along the Plettenberg Bay coastline. Authorities have urged bathers and paddlers to be vigilant. The NSRI says sharks are attracted and feeding off a juvenile Humpback whale carcass that’s washed ashore among rocks at Groot Bank. The Bitou Municipal Solid Waste Department plans to remove the carcass soon.
