The taxi driver who was gunned down in Thembalethu at George in the Southern Cape on Saturday has been identified as 32-year-old, Prince Mmola. According to police witnesses an unknown man armed with a handgun approached Mmola while he was sitting in his bakkie. He shot him multiple times in the head. Police spokesperson, Malcolm Pojie says the taxi owner died on the scene: “Our preliminary investigations reveal that the suspect got away in a getaway car that was parked down the street and sped off. The motive of this horrific act is being investigated and we appeal to anyone with information to contact Thembalethu police station or our crime stop number.”
