The Western Cape Department of Cultural Affairs and Sports says it has invested more…

The Western Cape Department of Cultural Affairs and Sports says it has invested more than R171 million in upgrading and building new library facilities for communities in rural areas. The department has presented its annual report to the Standing committee on Cultural Affairs and Sports in the provincial legislature. It revealed that more than half of low fee and no fee schools have benefited from their After School Game Changer programme. In support of the programme, more than R52 million was set aside for the Mass Participation and Sports Development Grant. More than 72 000 learners participated in the programme. The department once again achieved a clean audit from the Auditor-General
