The Western Cape Education Department says a disciplinary hearing involving a teacher and learner at San Souci Girls High School in Cape Town will take place on Friday. This after a video of the teacher slapping the learner went viral earlier this month. The learner and teacher have been suspended. Education Department spokesperson, Bronagh Hammond says the learner’s lawyer has requested a further postponement. “The disciplinary hearing will therefore be held next week. The learner will remain suspended and will continue to receive class work.In terms of allegations regarding the process we cannot comment at this stage. because the process is ongoing.”

  1. That Teacher should have used a Desk and Hit that learner…No Cellphones allowed inside the classrooms..#I_Support_That_Teacher ..

  2. That teacher is screwed. She will be made the scapegoat and everything will be thrown at her and that piece of rubbish student will get off with a suspended sentence and be allowed to return to class
