  1. Mosselbay has only two main routes out of town. Bland and the Main road up the hill. Copshop is as you go down Bland road to Dias, and they are relentless. A few years ago, a guy who had his licence suspended for drunk driving, while trying to evade the police, killed two kids in Hartenbos, while driving in the opposite lane. It was a huge tragedy, and that’s why Mosselbay police and traffic officers have a zero tolerance policy. Even walking home drunk could see you being locked up for your own protection. I was dead sober but was driving down the main road coming from the Point to my friend’s flat in Bland road. Got pulled over and was given a stern warning for not wearing my safety belt. I got off with a warning, and no fine, but please , residents and holiday visitors, make use of taxi services.
