MPUMALANGA ANC acting chairman Mandla Ndlovu’s home in Thulamahashe, near Bushbuckridge was broken into at about 3am on Sunday.Ndlovu told the SunTeam he was in Mbombela when his wife Nomvula Mathebula (41) was told of the robbery.“Our bedroom window pane was removed and placed against the wall. “Our belongings were scattered all over the bedroom and two safes were taken down from the bedroom wall,” he said.Ndlovu said his security guard saw six men in the yard.According to the guard, the men jumped out of Ndlovu’s bedroom window and fled in a BMW and a Nissan bakkie.Ndlovu said on the day of the break-in, he and Mineral Resources Minister Gwede Mantashe were supposed to attend a meeting about the ANC’s door-to-door campaign. “We currently can’t be certain this was politically motivated. “We leave everything to the police,” said Ndlovu.Mhala police commander Colonel John Ngwenya said officers responded quickly to a call from Ndlovu’s security guard.“Unfortunately, the suspects had already left when the police arrived. “We are investigating a case of house-breaking and theft. “No one has been arrested yet,” he said.
