Bags of dagga seized.
Two women were arrested for operating an illegal dagga plantation in Erasmia on Tuesday afternoon.
The arrests came after police investigated a domestic violence complaint in Hennopsrivier, according to police spokesperson Colonel Lungelo Dlamini.
“Police came across a dagga plantation where dagga oil was illegally being manufactured. Several bags of dagga and chemicals were also seized at the scene.
“It is suspected the dagga and as well as the by-products were being manufactured for distribution to several people,” he said.
Dlamini said two women, aged 53 and 61, were arrested and charged with dealing drugs.
