United Democratic Movement President, Bantu Holomisa, says commissions of inquiry should release regular interim…

United Democratic Movement President, Bantu Holomisa, says commissions of inquiry should release regular interim reports so relevant authorities can act on their information. He says corruption is rife in the country and there’s little hope that there will be consequences for those found guilty. Holomisa delivered what he called an alternative state of the nation at the Cape Town Press Club today. The general did not mince his words. Holomisa says South Africa is swamped by corruption scandals. He says finalised reports from commissions of inquiry could take years, instead he suggests regular interim reports that can be acted on immediately. Holomisa says, “Where they find that there are prima faci evidence that should be escalated to the HAWKS, auditor general as well as the NPA, the NPA of course is a victim of the ANC’s deployment policies. All these institutions are rotten because they placed their own comrades.” The UDM will launch its official election manifesto in Port Elizabeth on the 16th of February.
