UPDATE-Durban North school girl found safe – Northglen News

Sisanda Tembe has been reunited with her family.

UPDATE: Tuesday, 11 Febaruary (9pm). Durban North SAPS has confirmed that Sisanda Tembe has been found safe and has been reunited with her family.
Capt Raymond Deokaran, spokesman for the Durban North station, said investigating officer Fourie located the 13-year-old.
“At this stage we can confirm she is safe and is now home with her family. We are not at liberty to disclose further details at this stage and we thank the public for their support,” he said.

ORIGINAL STORY: Tuesday, 11 February (6pm) DURBAN North SAPS have appealed to the public for their help in finding Sisanda Tembe, who went missing from her school in Glenashley on Tuesday afternoon.
Tembe (13) was last seen in her school uniform outside Glenashley Preparatory School just after 3pm.
According to Durban North SAPS spokesman, Capt Raymond Deokaran, police as well as Marshall Security are actively looking for the youngster.
“At this point we are urgently seeking the help of residents to try and find Sisanda. A local security company has come on board and we are patrolling the area. Unfortunately she did not have a cell phone with her but we are trying all avenues to try and locate her,” he said.

Deokaran urged the community to call the Durban North SAPS on 031 325 6590 or 031 560 8021 or her mother on 081 566 5956.
Speaking to Northglen News, Thuli Tembe, Sisanda’s mother, said she was anxiously awaiting any news to help find her daughter.
“I’m very worried, I just want her found. I arrived at the school and found only my son waiting for me. He told me Sisanda had left a few minutes earlier saying ‘I was waiting outside’ to pick her up but that was not true. She was last seen wearing her school clothes and normally has her hair tied up. If you know her whereabouts please contact me or the police,” she said.
