Detectives from Verulam SAPS recovered welding equipment to the value of R145, 000 and arrested the suspected thief in a recent operation, recently.
The docket was given to Det Cnst Sicelo Phewa and Celumusa Ngobese to investigate.

The police officers, through dedication and commitment and through their informer network, arrested the suspect and recovered stolen items from the premises.

The man was charged and appeared in the Verulam Magistrate’s court.
Captain Henry Kisten, communications officer of Verulam SAPS, said, “The branch commander, Col Zanele Ndlovu, commended her team for their hard work and dedication in making the arrest and recovering the stolen items.”
