Communications officer of Verulam SAPS, Cpt Henry Kisten said, “There was a high police visibility shown and this resulted in a decrease of serious crimes. The station commander, Brig Victor Dludla applauded the super-sleuth police officers.”
This follows similar operations conducted by Verulam SAPS in previous weeks. These operations were held in high crime areas.
Four suspects were arrested for various crimes ranging from drug possession, dealing in liquor without a licence, possession of dangerous weapons, loitering for purposes of prostitution and other serious offences.
Cpt Kisten confirmed that the operations will continue as they look to increase police visibility.
