The victorious Railways Cricket Club’s first team who excelled at the KZNCU Challenge League fixture.
The friendly cricketing rivalry between local Tongaat teams, Railways Cricket Club and the Tongaat Cricket Union continued at the Outspan Grounds, on Sunday.
Both teams are affiliated to the KwaZulu-Natal Cricket Union and play in steam two of the challenge league.
After having won the toss, Tongaat elected to bat, and were soon bundled out for 78.

The leading wicket takers for Railways were Trevor Pillay, who bagged four for 26 in nine overs and Warren Jordan with four for 16 in six overs.
In response with the bat, Trishane Pillay top scored with 31, Rashendran Naidoo with 24 and Wayne Naicker with 20 not out.
The Railways Cricket Club celebrates its 70th anniversary this year and in commemoration of this, a special gala anniversary dinner will be held at the Palace Conference Centre on Saturday, December 8 from 6pm.
The event is rescheduled from December 1 as previously advertised due to circumstances beyond the club’s control. The planning committee apologises for any inconvenience caused.
