WATCH: FLYING SQUAD COPS IN HOT WATER!

A video of members of the Gauteng Flying Squad being accused of stealing items in a house is doing the
rounds on social media.It’s reported
that cops were on an intelligence driven operation in response to reports of a possible stolen vehicle in Block PP, Soshanguve. In the
video, a man who is busy recording the cops can be heard accusing them of
stealing belts worth R8500.He then
continues to ask them why they are allegedly stealing his belts and demands to know if they found evidence that the car they were inspecting is stolen.Cops say
they can confirm that a case of burglary was opened at Rietgat Police
Station.Gauteng
Provincial Commissioner of police, Lieutenant General Elias Mawela has reportedly
authorized an urgent internal investigation into the matter to establish the accuracy
of the allegations.Mawela said
management views these allegations in a very serious light in line with the
zero tolerance approach to corruption by cops.“Therefore,
it is important to allow both the criminal case and the internal investigation
to run their course so that the appropriate consequence measures can be
effected pending the outcome of both,” Mawela said. What South Africa has become ????Police raids somebody’s room and steal R8 000 belt and phones.Let’s be honest, nobody cares anymore, justice system has failed. pic.twitter.com/Xd9aFa1PI6— Hannah Sankara (@HannahSankara) April 10, 2019
