The pupils who participated in the contest alongside teacher, Mr K Perumal and principal, Dr NV Joseph.
Whetstone Primary School participated in the third Mathematics challenge that was held at the Wembly Primary School hall, recently.
Seven pupils from grade seven took part in this competition that was organised by New West Education Trust.
A total of 47 schools responded to the invitation with a total number of 420 pupils.
Only the top 100 young mathematicians were chosen to advance to the next programme.

Each pupil was awarded a bursary of R1, 800 to cover the cost of the programme.
Three pupils of Whetstone Primary pupils were placed in the top 100.
Juanita Rhea Somaru of grade seven A, Ketana Phoebe Pillay of grade seven B and Ayanda Aphiwe Mthombeni of grade seven A have done their school proud.
The principal, Dr NV Joseph wishes to extend her sincere gratitude to the organisers for giving her pupils an opportunity to engage in this competition.
