Good Evening, I thought it will be a good idea to show you what we as Cape Town Public Transport Residents must go through on a daily basis – being robbed and getting hurt. Today at about 17h00, an old man was stabbed on his way to town from De Grendel Station. He was left at the Cape Town Station with a ‘Caution Wet Floor’ -sign and didn’t get any help. My Friend and I decided to help him and stood by him till his brother arrived. See photos in the gallery below how staff ducked under their desk when we took a pic of them. We are commuters and we pay for our tickets and must use these trains to get to work. It’s not safe and after all these time and numerous reports from multiple people about the safety on our trains, nothing happens. Staff doesn’t help us or even helped this old guy and its very sad, hope you guys can make a example of Metrorail and Prasa. Please share so that Metrorail can see we are over this Crap! #metrorail #prasa #capetown

Scum like this are employed and thousands who want to work and who are willing to work cannot get decent employment.

Dreadful country… you can not take a train or a bus any where.

It’s an absolute DISGRACE too say the least of it. Many unemployed youth members are crying out to work they don’t even have the decency to assist an elderly citizen of the country & it forms part of their work duty.

That’s OUR NEW SA and believe you me its still gona get WORSE..Its sickening ppl just turn a blind eye.Dnnt care if its white,black or coloured we al HUMAN at the end of the day.
I helped a disabled senior citizen one day to get on the platform. When I ask for help , the praza employee as me if the old man was a family member. When I said no, the lady told me not to potty people that abuse alcohol.. I went to the office in Lieber to lodge a complaint and was told not to worry they will take it from there. An hour and a half later, after I ran my errands, I went back to where I left the the man. Believe it or not, the old man was never tend to and was sitting on the pavement hungry and tired.. PRAZA staff are pathetic!!!!!!
