Two train carriages have been destroyed in a fire at Cape Town station this…

Two train carriages have been destroyed in a fire at Cape Town station this evening. The fire has been contained and no injuries have been reported. The power had to be disconnected while firefighters were busy with operations. Ongoing arson attacks have claimed 184 carriages between 2015 and May this year. Damages suffered by Metrorail are in access of R550 million, crippling the rail service on which thousands of people depend on a daily basis to get to work.

  1. This is absolutely unacceptable. How can people do that and get away. My whole family is dependent on metrorail to get to their jobs and back and kids to college. This is actually sad

  2. So, staak die treine. Dan moet die pendelaars maar loop. Gou gou dan sort hulle self die kriminele uit.

  3. It’s so sad same of us we depend on the train no taxi’s can do anything how I we going to travel plz this thing must stop now
